Instrument Repair

Trojan City Music provides a variety of repair options. Band instrument repair is facilitated through a third party.  Bring your band instrument in to the store and we can take it from there! Most fretted instrument repair takes place in the store. We carry a number of parts and electrical components for both acoustic and electric guitar, as well as bass guitar, banjo, and mandolin.

  • Carve / Install Nut $25 + setup + parts

  • Electronics Repair / Replacement $45 / hour

  • Fret Dressing $40

  • Fret Leveling (entire fret board) $200 + strings

  • Guitar Input Jack Replacement (Standard) $25 (parts included)

  • Guitar Input Jack Replacement (Barrel Jack) $35 (parts included)

  • Guitar Restring* $25 + strings

  • Instrument Restring* (12 string, classical, Bigsby,
    Evertune, Locking Tremolo, Mandolin, Violin,
    Banjo, Dulcimer) $30 + strings

  • Intonation Adjustment (Locking Tremolo) $25

  • Intonation Adjustment (Standard Bridge) $15

  • Neck Shim $10

  • Single String Change $5 + parts

  • Strap Button Installation $10 Parts incl.

  • Tremolo Spring Adjustment $10

  • Truss Rod Adjustment (remove neck) $20

  • Truss Rod Adjustment (Standard) $10

    • A Storage / Late pickup fee of $10 may be added to your bill for every 30 days past the date of completion
    Rush (same-day) services may be available at a $10 surcharge, depending on workload and time constraints.
    All prices are based on the specific needs of your instrument. We will only charge you what is needed.

    *We polish the frets, clean and condition the fret board, tighten the tuning keys and clean/inspect the instrument before installing the strings of your choice.

    Drum and Percussion Repair is done based on a first come, first served basis.
